Our time as students at Ohio University could have been shaped by a million different things: Parties, alcohol, professors, the media. Fortunately for us, the ministry of Cru was there, and we were shaped instead by Biblical truth, faithfully taught to us by the staff and student leaders.
Upon graduation (Clay in 2012 and Emily in 2013), we both realized we felt a distinct call from God into full-time ministry. So, for the 2013-2014 school year, Emily served as an intern with Cru at OU, and Clay served as volunteer staff with Cru at OU while working in the local school district.
God used the time in these roles to confirm what we felt. We wanted to do for others what had been done for us: Namely, to win students to Christ, build them up in their faith, and send them out to reach others for Christ.
We are deeply passionate about introducing young people to Jesus, and teaching them how to live their entire lives on mission - to see others come to know Jesus, and to help other believers participate in what God is doing, around the world.
Ultimately, our goal is to participate in what God is doing around the world - turning lost college students into Christ-centered laborers for a lifetime. Our hearts are committed to reaching these lost students with the gospel and helping them be changed, so they can go change the world.
